During its ten years of existence, the Jazzrausch Bigband has established itself as an institution that makes the impossible possible: the meeting of jazz, techno and the big band. Sold-out concerts in electro clubs, jazz festivals and classical venues? Let's go! And those who think the group's musical spectrum couldn't be any wider will be proven wrong by their classical music arrangements. Leonard Kuhn, Jazzrausch's resident composer, transports Bruckner's symphonies and the original compositions that result from them primarily into a lively, almost pop song format - with intense grooves and often with striking force, but also with a great deal of sophistication and a big band lineup expanded to include horn, percussion, bassoon and three strings. And despite all this, there is still plenty of room for "jazz" in "Jazzrausch" and the ensemble once again presents itself not only as a perfectly functioning unit, but also as a union of brilliant individual soloists.
