A bold album of 18th-century sacred arias and motets, *Anima Aeterna*, the young countertenor's new album, follows on from *Anima Sacra*, which spectacularly launched Jakub Józef Orlinski's recording career in 2018. Its program – featuring Zelenka, Handel, Fux, as well as the lesser-known Gennaro Manna, Francisco António de Almeida, Bartolomeo Nucci, and (on the vinyl version) Davide Perez – includes several world premieres. In Zelenka's dazzling *Laetatus sum*, Jakub Orlinski is joined by the enchanting soprano Fatma Said, while Francesco Corti conducts the Il pomo d'oro orchestra and choir.
