The "old school" spirit of Mina the Hollower is well present in its exceptional soundtrack. Composers Jake Kaufman and Yuzo Koshiro have crafted a true feast of chiptune using equipment that is decidedly "old school": the original sound chip of the Game Boy, enhanced with a touch of the Konami audio cartridge (from the MSX) to perfect it. The result is one of the best soundtracks of the year, whether for video games or other media. The cover, illustrated by our friend Nimit Malavia, is filled with 3D details - and in a decidedly retro spirit, we have included special 3D glasses themed around Mina that actually work with the illustration!
