JAGGED EDGE was created in 1987 by Myke Gray after his split from the band Dorian Gray. This very famous Glam metal band based in London is led by this immense and talented guitarist.
After various lineup changes and a few recorded demos, Myke Gray kept the name Jagged Edge and partnered with the management of Sanctuary, home to Iron Maiden and W.A.S.P, a connection that led to a deal with Polydor Records in 1989. Gray then recruited Italian drummer Fabio Del Rio (Bruce Dickinson) and former Tokyo Blade bassist Andy Robbins and quickly released Jagged Edge's first effort in the form of a mini-album titled “Trouble” with Swedish singer Matti Alfonzetti, previously a member of Bam Bam Boys & Boxer (later Road to Ruin, Skintrade).
The band's first full album, “Fuel For Your Soul”, produced by Jeff Glixman, benefited at its release from support slots with artists such as Dan Reed Network, Thunder, and Vixen. Then a European opening act for Bruce Dickinson followed in 1990 before Jagged Edge embarked on a headlining UK club tour later. Despite high-profile shows and Myke Gray's hard work, Polydor dropped the band. Matti Alfonzetti and Fabio Del Rio immediately jumped ship.
Without a contract, Myke Gray decided to continue the adventure. After a brief flirtation with UFO in 1990 and aborted relaunches of Jagged Edge in various forms including Phoenix, Bad For Good, Taste, and Obsession, he resurfaced in Skin (1994-1998), a success.
Myke Gray released in 2017 ‘Shades Of Gray’, and a brand new album in 2021 ‘California’.
