Jacques Loussier is a whole chapter of music in France. Trained in classical music, this pianist accompanied Charles Aznavour, Catherine Sauvage, and Léo Ferré. He also created the Miraval studio, where Pink Floyd, AC/DC, Téléphone, and dozens of others recorded. He composed soundtracks for films and TV series that have remained in the public's ears. But his little pleasure that became big was to jazz up classical music. Play Bach n°1 was released in 1959 and it was a huge success. The first of a long series, the album sold six million copies. Thanks to Jacques Loussier's jazz trio, fugues and preludes swing like never before. And forever: in 2009, Jacques Loussier recorded a new album of adaptations of Bach to celebrate the fiftieth anniversary of Play Bach n°1, the record that changed his life and allowed two demanding musics to meet the general public.
