Intégrale des pièces pour clavecin - 4 CD

Description

Jacques Duphly was one of the most famous keyboard virtuosos and one of the most renowned composers of the mid-18th century in France. This 4-CD set presents his complete keyboard works, composed in 4 books, Les Livres de Pièces de Clavecin. Written between 1744 and 1768, these important works mark the transition from the ornate Baroque style to the galant style of the Classical era, foreshadowing Mozart’s keyboard works. An important new release, and another feather in the cap of the tireless Pieter-Jan Belder, one of today’s greatest keyboard players, with more than 100 CDs to his name: all the sonatas by Scarlatti, Rameau, Marais, C-P-E Bach, Telemann, J-S Bach and many others.
