Troubadour Militant Digipack Inclus DVD

Description

An atypical performer, distanced from the mainstream and the media, Jacques draws with rigor from the French poetic repertoire. He has sung the works of Jacques Prévert, Louis Aragon, Léo Ferré, Charles Trenet, Max Jacob, Georges Brassens, Pierre Seghers, Jacques Brel… as well as medieval poets like Chrétien de Troyes, Rutebeuf, or François Villon. His vocal technique, marked by great delicacy and precision, and the warmth of his timbre have moved an audience of connoisseurs in the 1950s and 1960s. On the DVD Solitaire, which features the songs, he sings since a thousand years, Jacques Douai, Grand Prix of the Académie Charles-Cros, is in concert and in interview during a visit to Quebec. It is one of his last recitals in front of an enchanted crowd. It is a poetic encounter with a man faithful to his passion: to sing, to the chords of a guitar, an immortal language.
