For fans of Thee Sacred Souls, Duran Jones & The Indications, and Silk Sonic, the third album by The Jack Moves, with its catchy and exuberant choruses and infectious orchestrations, evokes both classic soul and funk of yesteryear. Reminiscent of Ohio Players, the funk of Rick James, or even the dance-rock of INXS if you were to hear them at one of David Mancuso's famous loft parties in the 70s, but rooted in the sweet soul of Philadelphia from Howard Melvin and The Blue Notes. The Jack Moves toured in 2022 with Thee Sacred Souls, Ghostfunk Orchestra, and Weapons of Mass Creation. They have been sampled on songs with Ghostface Killah and Conway the Machine, and have played at Brixton Academy, Red Rocks, and Billboard Live in Tokyo. Their singles "Somebody's Watching You" and "Seabra" can be heard on Morning Becomes Eclectic. Their latest album was chosen as one of the best albums of 2018 by KCRW, and their debut album spawned a hit in the Top 40 in Japan, used to sell Big Macs at McDonald's.
