third album of the solo project created by Fenriz, the drummer of Darkthrone Isengard is the solo project initially launched in 1989 by Fenriz - one of the main driving forces behind the Norwegian legend Darkthrone - because he had many musical ideas to explore that did not strictly fit the style and music of his main band. Under the name Isengard, Fenriz released two albums that summarize doom, death, black, and Folk/Viking metal in the form of "Vinterskugge" and "Høstmørke". Finally, we welcome the third installment of this cult project. After a long 25-year period since Isengard's last studio release, and after recently unearthing a set of tracks from his own archives of material recorded during his glory days, this new series of tracks - thought to be lost - follows a part of the metal last heard on the "Vinterskugge" of 1994. "Vårjevndøgn" is a monumental journey of epic heavy metal mixed with an atmosphere of often darker doom rock/metal, reminiscent of bands like the American heavy metal veterans Pentagram.
