Warner Music is delighted to announce the release of a commemorative triple black vinyl album as part of the 40th anniversary celebration of IRON MAIDEN’s third LP, The Number Of The Beast, the first to feature Bruce Dickinson on vocals and the album that would catapult the band to international stardom. This new vinyl box set includes Beast Over Hammersmith – officially available for the very first time in this format – the legendary concert from London’s Hammersmith Odeon recorded in March 1982, during the Beast On The Road world tour. Recorded just days before the release of The Number Of The Beast, its repertoire of now-classic songs was still unreleased, and fans were able to hear these tracks live for the very first time. A true piece of history in the making. The box set contains exclusive liner notes written by Steve Harris, founding member and bassist of Maiden, as well as restored artwork from the CD edition of Beast Over Hammersmith, previously only available in the limited edition Eddie's Archive box set released in 2002. Steve Harris comments: "In this vinyl release, we are lucky to put Total Eclipse in its rightful place on the album for the first time. Finishing the album had been a crazy rush, and we had to release the single Run to the Hills before the tour and choose a B-side, with the choice between Gangland and Total Eclipse. We just made the wrong choice!
