Iroiro
Description
IROIRO is the debut album of the eponymous Seattle band, formed around Michiko Swiggs and Kento Oiwa, former members of IQU. While IQU blended samples and live instruments in variations of trip-hop, drum & bass, and synth-pop, IROIRO develops long instrumental pieces that gradually evolve into powerful psychedelic rock. Recorded with Stuart Hallerman at Avast! Studios, the album features six tracks from spontaneous sessions where the trio mixed electronic improvisations, noise, and "man-machine methods," soon joined by bassist James Drage. The compositions gain intensity, alternating between melodic rock, noise experiments, and psychedelic flights, culminating in the final explosion of "Sandia," inspired by a mountain in New Mexico.Buy Iroiro at the best price
