Originally released in 1964, the album takes its name from her signature R&B hit ‘Wish Someone Would Care’, which reached #17 on the Billboard Hot 100 in March 1964. Produced by Eddie Ray and arranged by H.B. Barnum, this album is a soul classic, featuring such tracks as ‘Please Send Me Someone To Love’, ‘Straight From The Heart’, ‘Another Woman's Man’, and ‘Break-A-Way’, the B-side to ‘Wish Someone Would Care’. In addition to the 180gm vinyl pressing of the album, Ace Records is pleased to present an interview with Irma Thomas as she discusses this period of her career with author Garth Cartwright.
