1993 was certainly not the best period for traditional heavy metal. INFERNO, from Florida, certainly leaned towards American prog metal, but this style also struggled to establish itself against grunge, crossover, and other modern trends which, unlike traditional metal, all eventually disappeared from the scene. True metal fans were nonetheless happy that the new label Massacre Records was releasing quality metal, notably from Mystik, Forte, Ritual, Winter's Bane, and INFERNO. Those who discovered "Psychic Distance" at the time still rave about this album today... Without Massacre Records, INFERNO from Jacksonville, Florida, founded in 1988, would today be a band with three cassette releases. The first demo came out in 1992, then the album "Psychic Distance" was only released on cassette for cost reasons. In 1995, another demo named "Architect" followed, which also became "famous" over the years in underground circles. Both formats have their own particularity! The LP represents the very first vinyl release of "Psychic Distance". The CD contains, in addition to the remastered album, the aforementioned "Architect" demo, mastered from the original DAT tape. A recent interview with two former band members fills exciting liner notes, as well as many rare photos to see (CD booklet and LP insert).
