The British pianist Imogen Cooper in Liszt and Wagner, between compositions and intimate transcriptions. After the successes achieved around the Brahms and Schumann cycles already released by Chandos, the British pianist Imogen Cooper dedicates this program to two other great romantics, Liszt and Wagner. The choice of pieces is original, made up of compositions and intimate transcriptions. Extracted from the most poetic movements of the Années de Pèlerinage for Liszt and for Wagner the transcription of the passionate prelude Tristan and Isolde, Imogen Cooper immediately finds the right tone, a romanticism without melodrama and a virtuosity without emphasis.
