Kheper Wax is the second solo album by Imhotep, an artist known for being the sound architect of the Marseille hip hop group IAM since the 1990s.
It is a dub album whose tracks contain samples of Mediterranean and Eastern music, a type of sample that the artist claims to have been the first to use in beatmaking and which has greatly contributed to giving IAM its musical color.
Kheper Wax was originally released in 2013 in only 500 copies and its price has risen significantly since then. This new pressing is therefore an opportunity for fans of good grooves to acquire this sought-after album at a reasonable price.
