Olga Pashchenko is currently one of the most versatile keyboard performers. Also comfortable on the fortepiano, harpsichord, organ, and contemporary piano, she exudes an extraordinary virtuosity and passion. Her discography has so far taken her into Beethoven's territory, her great passion, but also into that of Dussek, Mendelssohn... One crucial figure was missing until now: Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. This has been addressed with this recording of Piano Concertos Nos. 9 & 17, written by the Austrian composer in 1777 and 1784. This collaboration with the ensemble Il Gardellino, founded over thirty years ago by oboist Marcel Ponseele and flutist Jan De Winne, is a first that should continue with other Mozart concertos in the coming years.
