In 2020, Ihsahn is ready to embark on a new turn in his career, with a 5-track EP inspired by his hometown of Telemark. This second EP, *Pharos*, highlights the lighter, pop, and more melodic side of the project. With three new original compositions and two covers, the EP is imbued with a celebration of the rebellious spirit that pushed him to make music 30 years ago.
More than any other artist from the early 90s Black Metal scene, Ihsahn has established himself as an unpredictable maverick. As the leader and composer of the legendary Emperor, he rewrote the rulebook of extreme and epic music with a series of albums still considered classics today. From *In The Nightside Eclipse* (1994) to the tour de force of *Prometheus: The Discipline Of Fire & Demise* (2001). Ihsahn, with his unique and liberated musical approach, was sure not to disappoint his fans when he launched his solo career in 2006 with *The Adversary*. Since his explosive beginnings, Ihsahn has forged his path, leaving behind an incredible catalog. Strong metal roots remain the essence of his music, from *Das Seelenbrechen* to *Arktis* (2016) and *Amr* (2018).
