Ibaraki is a side project of Matt Heafy from Trivium and Ihsahn from Emperor! A very personal album for Matt and his Asian culture, enriched by many Black Metal parts from Ihsahn. This close collaboration came to life 10 years ago. 'Rashomon' is a journey ranging from the worship of extremes with black metal, to the exuberant storytelling of Gerard Way and the adventurous and tragic worldliness of Anthony Bourdain. More than just an album inspired by Japanese mythology and folklore, 'Rashomon' is complex, sitting between reality and imagination.
