Considered milestones in HYPOCRISY’s career, Peter Tägtgren, Mikael Hedlund and Lars Szoke reached a new level of songwriting quality and placed an emphasis on dynamics during this period. They created additional layers of atmosphere and sometimes used clean vocals, resulting in melodically beautiful yet heavy and aggressive death metal anthems. The 2023 reissues remarkably preserve true classics that have not been available on LP for far too long or have never been released on standalone vinyl (“Into the Abyss”).
