Naïades

Korean concert organist Hyelin Lee, who lives in Stuttgart, performs on this new AEOLUS album "Naïades" works by Louis Vierne, Gabriel Fauré, Gabriel Pierné, and Marcel Dupré on the Aristide Cavaillé-Coll organ (1874, III/42) of the great basilica of Sainte-Anne-d’Auray (Brittany), one of the most important pilgrimage sites in France, an instrument that is very rarely heard. A particular feature of this new Super Audio CD (5.1 and stereo 2.0) is the four piano works by Fauré transcribed for organ. The Three Pieces by Gabriel Pierné have also not previously been included in the Aeolus catalog. This album is an exciting discovery for fans of late 19th-century French organ music. The 36-page booklet contains numerous illustrations.
