Ghost Bridge - Vinyl

Description

Ghost Bridge is the fifth album by Hour, a chamber music ensemble led by multi-instrumentalist Michael Cormier-O’Leary. Designed for a group of 13 musicians combining woodwinds, strings, vibraphone, and a rock rhythm section, the record features six instrumental compositions with cinematic accents, blending indie rock, contemporary music, and film scores. Inspired by reflections on loss, grief, and mortality, Ghost Bridge prioritizes exploration and curiosity over melancholy. The compositions rely on sophisticated harmonies, cyclical melodic patterns, and particularly rich orchestral work, resulting in music that is in constant motion. With its complex arrangements and an atmosphere that is both contemplative and enigmatic, Ghost Bridge represents a new step in Hour's evolution towards increasingly ambitious and orchestral writing.
