Nothing elevates the spirit like the soaring guitars and evocative atmospheres of post-rock, and over the last two years, we have needed it more than ever: to be pulled from the quicksand of apathy, to be reminded of what it means to feel alive! The five members of Philadelphia-based Hiroe deliver five breathtaking tracks that serve this purpose better than anything we’ve heard this year. "Wrought" is an ode to resilience and the power of the individual human, conveying feelings of anger, anxiety, and loss, but also hope, optimism, and self-discovery in the throes of the pandemic era. The band’s larger-than-life sound is forged by a carefully selected group of stellar producers, with their debut album recorded by Mario Quintero (Spotlights), mixed by Matt Bayles (Caspian, Mono, Russian Circles, Isis, Pelican), and mastered by Will Yip (Caspian, Circa Survive). With these five fiery tracks, Hiroe positions itself as an exciting new player in the world of instrumental heavy rock.
