HIRO comes to confirm his place as a major artist on the Afro and Urban Pop scene. Building on his status as a pioneer within the Francophone Afro scene, Hiro now establishes himself with this 3rd album, "Afro Romance," as a major artist on the Afro-Urban Pop scene that has exploded over the past two years, determined to consolidate his stature. Very well produced and very well supported, Hiro delivers here the most complete musical journey of his career as an artist. The album opens with the kind words of his mother on "J’te connais." Then comes the single "Quatre secondes" featuring Koba LaD, a track released earlier this year that set out the ambitions of this new album. Hiro moves from one continent to another, from one heart to another. "Piquée" in collaboration with Leto is one of the highlights of this album, velvet vocals for Hiro and powerful melodies for Leto. With "Dea-leur," Hiro offers us a funky track with Jok’air that takes us under the LA sun. Two international collaborations, with Nigerian singer Teni and then with rising Nigerian star Adekunle Gold, confirm Hiro’s international stature on the Francophone side. This romance between Hiro and the listener continues through ballads, West Indies rhythms, and the powerful piano-and-voice track "Anéanti." After sharing a moment with Hornet La Frappe or Bramsito, the record concludes with a superb passing of the torch between Congolese music legend Koffi Olomidé and the flamboyant Hiro on the album’s title track, "Afro Romance."
