Since their formation in 2016, the Londoners of High Vis have constantly refined their palette of progressive hardcore with shades of post-punk, Britpop, neo-psychedelia, and even Madchester groove, charting a middle path between hooks and fury, melodies and mosh pits. The band is deeply rooted in the British and Irish DIY hardcore scenes, which has allowed them to stay grounded while evolving, inspired by both unrest and righteous anger. Guided Tour sounds like a band reaching new heights, overflowing with energy. Recorded over a few weeks in London with producer Jonah Falco and engineer Stanley Gravett (who also helmed the sessions for High Vis's previous album, (Blending, 2022), the result is dynamic and well-honed, like anthems etched in memory through sweat and repetition. The 11 songs on the album cover the spectrum of contemporary guitar music. From street punk to indie sneer to heavy alt and shoegazey spoken word, the band's chemistry conveys any style with its unique intensity.
