For the first time in 30 years, Helen Schneider presents her own songs again, which were written with her and for her. Or more precisely, a musical chameleon. Indeed, the artist from Brooklyn stands out not only for her great vocal versatility but also for her multiple appearances. The lyrics were born from the pen of Linda Uruburu and reflect 40 years of shared memories as friends and colleagues. It is guitarist Jo Ambros, with whom she has shared various stages for 12 years, who composed the melodies. "My experiences and thoughts are very personal, but I believe everyone knows them through their own experiences. These are our shared memories: our Collective Memory," Helen explains about the new album. The result: songs for adults, influenced in terms of rhythms and atmosphere by the folk, pop, and rock music of the 60s/70s.
