Gondwana Records is pleased to announce "Interlude", the second album by Hanakiv, an Estonian-born composer and pianist based in London.Revealing a richer sound, the compositions trace a journey of overcoming the past, unfolding in a captivating and original style, imbued with hope and a therapeutic dimension.Situated at the crossroads of genres, "Interlude", the second album by Hanakiv, now a composer, pianist and singer, is as mysterious as it is captivating and original. The piano, often prepared, is just one element, both analog and electronic. Originally inspired by "those suspended moments when time seems to stand still, pain has not yet fully set in and happiness is only a glimpse", it nevertheless offers "the hope that stillness is an integral part of life".The richness of INTERLUDE is further suggested by its collaborators, notably Milo Fitzpatrick of Portico Quartet, who, in addition to playing double bass on the entire album, co-wrote the revisited version of the cult live track "Intro", and the eloquent closing track, "Stillness". Also present are saxophonist Pille-Rite Rei, cellist Joanna Gutowska, violinist Gabriel Green and PIKE on drums, helping to capture the moments that HANAKIV calls "in-between states".
