HAMMERFALL certainly holds the art of melody, and demonstrates it once again with this highly anticipated eighth album, "Infected." After 10 years of fruitful collaboration with Charlie Bauerfeind in production, HAMMERFALL has decided to part ways for this new album, the idea being to simply mix the 80's sound of their first two albums with fresher and decidedly more modern tones: "Infected" thus constitutes the worthy successor to "Renegade." Of course, the band has matured, delivering a performance full of emotion, with more elaborate tracks that reveal some concessions such as keyboards or more intricate melodic lines. "Infected" will not disappoint the band's fans awaiting a new assault from the Swedes!
