Midlife

Description

After 'Night Moves' and then 'Kids We Own The Summer' with its harmonic keyboards, H-Burns returns to the essence of his style: international quality songwriting and an interpretative accuracy that is hard to fault. To tell in a single album the only two stories worth telling – that of the man who leaves home, and that of the man who returns home – Renaud Brustlein first developed his project in isolation in a house-studio in La Souterraine in Creuse, before entering the studio once again with the care that characterizes him: Earl Harvin from Tindersticks on drums, Kate Stables from This Is The Kit as a guest vocalist, Noah Georgeson on mixing, etc. Logically titled 'Midlife', this new album recorded on analog tapes tells the story of a man who looks back and measures the journey he has taken, reminiscing about dreams of glory, lost loves, and what he has left behind, both of himself and of others.
