HIP HOP AFTER ALL (Double vinyl Gatefold)

Description

Because without Hip Hop, Guts would not be the producer-artist he is today. This nourishing Hip Hop, a gateway to myriads of musical styles, the trigger for an ever-expanding musical appetite. The plank from which he fell into a bottomless musical well. This Hip Hop that Guts has loved like a faithful friend for twenty-five years, despite its wanderings into the trivial, the gangsta or materialism. This Hip Hop that, over a quarter of a century, has had him spending entire nights with samplers, drum machines, expanders and vinyl records. Tapping pads, locking in drums and chiseling samples. This Hip Hop that today is often made remotely, through back-and-forth digital files, Guts has chosen to make shine again as in the early days. Having decided, after three entirely instrumental albums, to reconnect with rappers, singers, jazzmen and soulmen, he crossed the Atlantic with productions under his arm, to record them in their New York and Californian elements. Exploring a diversity of styles, flows and moods, supported in the production by the inexhaustible Dj Fab (Hip Hop Resistance) and backed from Paris by his label HeavenlySweetness, Guts has built a mosaic of sixteen tracks that fit together to form one single concept: Hip Hop After All.
