Dim Probs - Front Cover
Gruff Rhys

Dim Probs

Description

Intimate, raw, vibrant: Dim Probs, the essence of Gruff Rhys. Produced with Ali Chant (Yard Act/PJ Harvey), Dim Probs echoes the warmth and closeness of Gruff’s first solo album (Yr Atal Genhedlaeth, 2005), which marked his career, and the starry melancholy of Seeking New Gods, 2021. Written and performed entirely in Welsh/Cymraeg, Dim Probs places the listener alongside one of the country’s greatest and most thoughtful singer-songwriters, in a corner of the studio, while the songs unfold around them from a simple voice and guitar. The result is an intimate and hypnotic record that blends acoustic folk with primitive electronic machines that come within reach tomorrow on every track. One listen? Dim probs indeed!
