Take Me To The Alley

Description

Take Me to the Alley provides further irrefutable proof of the importance of Gregory Porter’s body of work, the artist once again managing to solve this seemingly insoluble equation: being the voice of our time while showing the greatest fidelity to the jazz and soul tradition. Gregory Porter returns with Take Me to the Alley, an album that once again highlights his innate talent for transcending genres. This record also proves that, far from having been fatal to him, success has allowed him to mature, both as a person and as an artist. Last autumn, Gregory Porter was finally able to return to the studio in New York to record Take Me To The Alley. As with his three previous albums, the singer chose to team up with producer Kamau Kenyatta. The Deluxe version of the album will be enhanced with: - 3 bonus tracks, including two duets with Lalah Hathaway and Kem and a French touch remix of DLYS by Fred Falke - 1 DVD (video, EPK, interviews)
