In theory, there is no great art in forming a rock band. Gather a group of musicians who share a love for certain bands and manage not to tear each other apart for at least an hour. Goodness, they don't even need to be musicians, as you can see in the charts! But in reality, creating a band is not that simple, as it depends on something particular. What makes bands special cannot be defined, learned, or bought - whether you call it talent, magic, or something else: Greenleaf has it. As an underground rock supergroup, Greenleaf was formed in 2000 by guitarist Tommi Holappa (Dozer), drummer Daniel Liden (Demon Cleaner, drummer of Dozer on the album "Through The Eyes Of Heathens" and now on And The Machine Said Behold!) and sound engineer/bassist Bengt Bäcke. They are joined alternately and in different ways by other musicians passionate about "Fuzz Rock," such as Fredrik Nordin (Dozer) and Peder Bergstrand (Lowrider). Greenleaf has continually defined what rock'n'roll means. If you put on "Revolution Rock" from 2001, "Secret Alphabets" from 2003, or "Agents Of Ahriman" from 2007, you will have a hard time letting go of this record. This band is hot because they have that little something. 'Nest Of Vipers' is a kick in the ass and a sacrifice on the altar of the all-powerful riff!
