This remastering was done from the original analog master tapes combined with Plangent Process Speed Correction technology.
Famous for its iconic cover designed by Alton Kelly and Stanley Mouse, the Dead's second live album nicknamed ‘Skull & Roses’, recorded in March-April 1971 in New York and San Francisco, allowed the band to earn its first gold record. The historic quintet delivers powerful Rock 'n' Roll tracks (‘Johnny B. Goode,’ ‘Not Fade Away’), the robust and Bakersfield-inspired ‘Me & My Uncle’, ‘Mama Tried’, ‘Me & Bobby McGee’, not to mention classics from their repertoire (‘Bertha’, ‘Playing In The Band’, ‘Wharf Rat’, the centerpiece ‘The Other One').
