Ederlezi

Description

"Ederlezi" could be the ideal calling card to introduce that devil of a composer, Goran Bregovic. In this compilation, you will find everything that has contributed to the fame of the Serbo-Croatian musician: a broad openness to other kinds of music (Gypsy, Cape Verdean, rock, Slavic music, flamenco, etc.), an uncanny sense of melody, and a staggering mastery of arrangements. There are of course hits ("TV Screen", "Man From Reno", "Ausencia"...), but also magical moments drawn from Kusturica’s finest films: "La Nuit", "Moonlight" or "Lullabye". Bregovic himself subtitles this album: "Songs For Weddings & Funerals", "Songs for weddings and funerals"... Quite a program.
