Globus is the name of a group of composers, producers, musicians, and singers created by the trailer music studio Immediate Music. The main composers are Yoav Goren and Jeffrey Fayman, founders of Immediate Music. The songs of Globus are most often orchestral and epic music from Immediate Music reinterpreted in a more rock style.
Immediate Music is a trailer music studio located in Santa Monica, Los Angeles, founded by Yoav Goren and Jeffrey Fayman in 1993. With over 7,000 trailers, TV spots, and films using its music, Immediate Music is the studio whose music is most often used for trailers. For example, the music from the trailers of Spider-Man 2, X-Men: The Last Stand, Da Vinci Code, War of the Worlds, The Lord of the Rings, and Harry Potter comes from Immediate Music studios. Most of Immediate Music's public albums are under the name Immediate.
Immediate Music created the group Globus in 2006, which reinterprets their trailer music in a more rock genre.
The fusion of orchestra with modern music is nothing new, but Globus gives its unique creative approach to this marriage in such a way that the group can legitimately claim avant-garde status in the Epic Rock genre.
Since their first album 'Epicon' in 2006 (top 20 of the British pop albums, #12 Billboard singles), Globus has blended original film and trailer music with styles of alternative, rock, and world music songs. This has led to dozens of synchronization licenses in cinema (Spiderman, Harry Potter), television (Robot Chicken, Top Gear), and advertising (Spec Savers, Glenfiddich), as well as a global multigenerational fan base eagerly awaiting its 2022 novelty album "Cinematica".
Founded by the award-winning composer/producer Yoav Goren (also known for his work with Leonard Cohen) and featuring a diverse group of lead singers (Lisbeth Scott, Anneke van Giersbergen) and renowned orchestras (LSO, Northwest Sinfonia), Globus weaves deeply emotional and cinematic stories into each song, with influences ranging from Queen to Muse to Pink Floyd, Radiohead, Ennio Morricone, and ELO.
This new album is their 4th and the 1st since 2011 (Break From This World).
