Gjon’s Tears will finally reveal himself. To reveal everything. The wording may seem surprising for an artist who has exposed himself to the largest audience through talent shows in France and Switzerland from a young age. Who has already delivered several singles to a large fanbase. The universe he brought to the Eurovision contest, where he finished third, and which already totals over 55 million streams. And finally Pure, his latest track produced by Nicolas Rebscher (Alice Merton, Aurora…) accompanied as always by a music video with a particular visual universe heavily influenced by Bowie, Bjork, or The Cure (the latter for the visual universe and the album cover as well). But it is over the course of an album that he will finally reveal the extent of his universe and the range of possibilities of his talent.
"I wanted this album, The Game, to be like a playlist," the young artist announces right away. Its title is inspired by the idea of the game that takes place between life and death. We already know the outcome in advance, but we must play the game to the end to learn who we really are.
Breaking boundaries, tearing labels, and building his path: that is the goal of a 24-year-old boy who is both well-rooted in his generation and rich in a pop heritage whose genealogy he has traced.
