Musique orgue - Intégrale - Box Set

Description

This 3-CD box set contains the complete organ works of Felix Mendelssohn. Mendelssohn was a great admirer of Johann Sebastian Bach. The first two CDs contain contrapuntal works, Preludes and Fugues in Bach’s style (of incredible craftsmanship and emotional content!), while the 3rd CD is devoted to the 6 great Organ Sonatas, a dazzling display of the instrument’s possibilities and of his own creative powers; he truly put his whole soul into these 6 masterpieces. Performed by the young Italian virtuoso Giulio Piovani, on superb contemporary Italian instruments. A valuable addition to the "Brilliant Classics" discography of organ recordings, of excellent quality and interest!
