The name of violinist Giuliano Carmignola is inseparable from that of Vivaldi, a composer to whom he has devoted several albums now considered benchmarks. With the release of Vivaldi 100, Carmignola crosses the threshold of 100 recordings of his violin concertos, thus enriching a discography that already includes many previously unrecorded works, particularly from the composer's "late period." Inspired by the creation of a custom violin by the great luthier David Bagué i Soler, Carmignola realized that his lifelong love for Vivaldi had already brought him close to achieving this impressive milestone. Of the more than 230 violin concertos in Vivaldi's oeuvre, Carmignola has carefully selected 13 to perform with his partners, I Solisti Aquilani.
