Description

Fourteen female composers performed by 20 young interpreters on organ, violin, voice, as well as strings and harp. This recording contains some previously unpublished pieces, debut recordings by Ethel Barns, Lili and Nadia Boulanger, Francesca Caccini, Cécile Chaminade, Edith Canta de Chizy, Fanny Mendelssohn Hensel, Odette de Montesquiou, Florentine Mulsant (Composer of the Year at the 2024 Victoires de la Musique), Maria Theresia von Paradis, Germaine Tailleferre, Pauline Viardot, Clara Wieck Schumann, and Madeleine Will. These works are performed on two organs that are part of the heritage of Saint-Maur-des-Fossés, under the artistic direction of Éric Lebrun. This recording follows a volume 1 that was particularly well received, especially by the specialized press.
