Reissue in vinyl format, identical to the original, of Prokofiev's famous tale. On October 9, 1954, in Paris, Gérard Philipe went to Studio le Fagon to record what would become the definitive version of the musical tale written and composed by Sergei Prokofiev in 1936. With this recording, coupled with Marcel Tillard's original illustrations, Gérard Philipe gave Le Chant du Monde the biggest commercial success in its history.
