THE LAMB LIES DOWN ON BROADWAY (COFFRET 5LP + BLU-RAY AUDIO)

Description

For the 50th anniversary of "The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway", this 5-vinyl + Blu-Ray audio box set offers Genesis’s landmark album in an “expanded” version. Benefiting from the involvement of the band members (Tony Banks, Phil Collins, Peter Gabriel, Steve Hackett and Mike Rutherford), this box set allows for an in-depth exploration of this album. It contains: On LP1 and LP2: the original album remastered in 2024 by Miles Showell at Abbey Road Studios, from the 1974 analog tapes. On LP3, LP4, LP5: the complete concert "The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway / Live At The Shrine Auditorium", remastered in 2024. Recorded on January 24, 1975, it is presented here in full for the first time, as it includes the two encore tracks, "Watcher of the Skies" and "The Musical Box". On the Blu-ray audio: 2 versions of the album, one remastered in 96kHz/24-bit high resolution, and the other in Dolby ATMOS, created by Bob Mackenzie at Real World Studios under the supervision of Peter Gabriel and Tony Banks. On a download card: 3 unreleased demos from the legendary Headley Grange sessions (digital bonus tracks). This card also gives access to the full audio content of the box set. This box set also includes a 60-page large-format book, whose booklet was written by Alexis Petridis, who interviewed the five band members. For the first time since the album’s release, they tell the story of "The Lamb", from the writing sessions to the concerts. Photos, some of them by Armando Gallo, are also included in this book. In addition, the 1975 tour program (replica), a reproduction of a period concert ticket and a poster complete this box set.
