Beggars Banquet releases the 40th anniversary reissue of ‘Discover’, the breakthrough album by British goth rock band Gene Loves Jezebel. Fully remastered by Henry Rudkins, this anniversary edition is expanded as a double vinyl with the addition of ‘Glad To Be Alive’, a live recording captured during a concert in Nottingham in 1986 and pressed for the first time. Capturing the band’s energy on stage, it offers an unfiltered counterpoint to the studio version: louder and unrestrained, showcasing the energy that drove their rise at the time. ‘Discover’ notably includes the single ‘Desire (Come and Get It)’.
