Jack Bon, emerging from Covid, receives a proposal that has the merit of putting coal in the locomotive in 2021. Hot as a blast furnace, the guitarist, singer, and composer then tours and records with the unstoppable Buzzmen, his blues rock quartet.
He now wishes to gather Ganafoul, put together an updated repertoire, and, why not, record an album that will engrave this long-awaited reunion in vinyl for a legion of loyal fans.
Yves Rothacher, original drummer of Ganafoul, is already holding the sticks within the Buzzmen. And one! Guitarist Édouard Gonzalez, who was from 74 with Rotach (and Fourmi) the co-founder of Ganafoul or Factory, shines with his groups Colorkode or OK.Boomers and has just revived the historic Killdozer. He has a quick trigger and, more than ever, a thirst for action. And two! For the bass, there’s a problem: Jean-Yves Astier now lives in the French West Indies, 6700 kilometers from Rhône-Alpes. However, the giant who handles the bass with the Buzzmen, the excellent Luc Blackstone, declares himself ready for the adventure. And three! The guys are all buddies, long-time companions.
Two guitars, bass, drums, the count is good, the spirit is there: the Ganafoul vintage 2022 is on the tracks. Its boogie set on the bogies, four chrome wheels, as if propelled by the kilovolts of a brand new BB locomotive, the train is on its way.
