Hungarian Gábor Boldoczki is an excellent trumpeter of his generation, repeatedly awarded. His new album is a journey inviting listeners to discover Versailles and the court of the Sun King, featuring his recordings of Concertos for flute and oboe by the Baroque composers Jean-Marie Leclair (1697-1764), Michel Blavet (1700-1768), Jacques-Christophe Naudot (1690-1762), and Bonaventure Gilles (~1678-?), here arranged for valve trumpet and bugle. It also includes 4 movements arranged for trumpet and orchestra taken from the Concerts Royaux composed by François Couperin (1668-1733) and a movement from the opera by Jean-Philippe Rameau (1683-1764), Les Boréades. On this album, Gábor Boldoczki is accompanied by the Capella Gabetta under the direction of the violinist and founder of the ensemble, Andrés Gabetta.
