This limited vinyl edition, carefully restored, is presented in a sturdy sleeve with a bloody die-cut sticker and exclusive liner notes from the composer. Directed by Stuart Gordon and distributed by Charles Band's Empire Pictures, Dolls embodies 80s campy horror, driven by an immersive soundtrack blending eerie synthesizers, dramatic orchestrations, and quirky passages.Composed in Richard Band's garage using a Yamaha QX-1 sequencer and an impressive collection of vintage synthesizers, the music of Dolls reflects a unique fusion of influences ranging from Stravinsky to Zappa and Beethoven. This release follows in the footsteps of soundtracks reissued by WRWTFWW, including Morse's Ghoulies II (1988), as well as Ghoulies (1985), TerrorVision (1986), and Troll (1986), still available to complete this cult collection.
