FUR, the Franco-Belgian trio led by Hélène Duret, joins the BMC Records catalog for their second album. 'Bond' is a pure jazz album, but it also features unpredictable musical shifts, an unlikely blend of styles and genres: a succession of ballads, groovy sections, blues themes, hit compositions, hypnotic and repetitive motifs, and psychedelic colors. However, it is the melodic line, marked by pop, that the trio cherishes above all, even if sometimes noise breaks the line so the group can dive into timbre. The ensemble has the strongest ties to the French and Belgian jazz scene: Hélène, born in Orange, lived in Belgium for over a decade, and FUR was born during that time. Since then, Duret has been part of the international European jazz scene, playing in the star sextet of Daniel Erdmann, Thérapie de couple.
