In 2020, Funkindustry found its audience in Japan. After three years of work, the band will release "Midnight City Lovers" on June 23, 2023, a five-track EP in collaboration with five Japanese singers. A true tribute to City-Pop music with a Funkindustry twist, this new opus is tinged with disco, boogie, and funk sounds. Drawing inspiration from City-Pop legends such as Tatsuro Yamashita and Mariya Takeuchi, Funkindustry reveals a whole new facet of its musical palette. The record features iconic singers from today's Japanese City-Pop scene: Asako Toki, Natsu Summer, Eri Takenaka, JiLL-Decoy Association, and EMI.
