This first edition is destined to become a collector's item: numbered and limited to 250 copies on black vinyl and 250 on gold vinyl, each version is presented in a deluxe sleeve accompanied by an exclusive 30×30 cm insert showcasing the band's visual universe. A striking presentation that reflects the richness of the music it contains. The creative force behind From The Land is Anatoly Pakhalenko, known as the singer of the renowned dark folk ensemble Nytt Land.
Conceived in 2025, this new project serves as Pakhalenko's alter ego, allowing him to explore the darkest facets of country, blues, and folk traditions, while integrating them into a world described as "a black-and-white landscape, weary of everything happening around it and gradually sinking into an endless sleep." With Aleksandr Rosliakov, Pakhalenko composed Stolen Season Pt. I between January and May 2025 at Nytt Land Studio, handling the recording, mixing, and production himself.
The result is an album that resonates with uncompromising artistic vision and raw emotional depth. The universe of From The Land draws inspiration from the haunted literary realms of H.P. Lovecraft and Edgar Allan Poe, as well as the surreal and unsettling imagery of David Lynch. This blend of influences creates a soundscape that is both cinematic and visceral, where ritual meets ruin, and folk traditions dissolve into the smoke of blues and dark country.
