Description

Dear Milan Kundera, I was sixteen when I discovered The Unbearable Lightness of Being, and the novel’s plot immediately captivated and moved me, as only music can do. There was a particular musicality to this story; each character had their leitmotifs, their love a singular rhythm, and I heard this novel as much as I lived it. Much later, I wanted to find music that would suit Thomas, Tereza, and Sabina, a melody that would express gravity, a composition that would convey this lightness of being. There is no work I cherish as much as this novel, and I will not be able to find the words to tell you all my admiration. So we took up our instruments to do it? Anja Linder
