Description

Cartoons is the children's program of Sacre du Tympan.
Sacre du Tympan continues its exploration of music in images by focusing this time on the world of cartoons and animated films, as well as the world of video games.
The orchestra offers an extremely playful concert for young and old by revisiting 50 years of music: Tex Avery and Piccolo Saxo meet Scooby-Doo, the Spider chased by Donkey Trotro and SpongeBob, or even Super Mario Bros colliding with Frozen...
Most of the participating musicians are multi-instrumentalists, and the concerts will be an opportunity to discover a wide range of timbres and sound objects through the jubilant arrangements written by Fred Pallem for the occasion.
During a creation residency, Fred Pallem imagined offering children a big band. Thus, a version of Cartoons in 11tet was born at the Maison de la musique de la Ville de Nanterre in October 2016.
